Fingolfin is the Greatest

In my opion Fingolfin is the greatest character in Middle Earth history. King Fingolfin covered up for Feanor's ego and rallied the Elves against Morgoth.  Galadrial did much for the Elves, yet Fingolfin was a great leader.

It was Fingolfin who pounded on the doors of Thangorodrim challenging Morgoth to a battle of principle. In my opinion Fingolfin woke up the Valar as to the
threat of Morgoth.

If Morgoth was not defeated then the Third Age would never come about.
