Elder Days? Perhaps Not

First of all, the Elder Days only refers to the time before Morgoth was cast out, i.e. the First Age (see appendix B of LotR). In Peter Jackson's LotR movies, the Elder Days will never be depicted.

However, the end of the Second Age will be used for a prologue. Gil-Galad, as we all should know was one of the two great heroes who fought with Sauron on the slopes of Thangorodrim and defeated him.

On the subject of Morwen. She had nothing to do with the Elder Days or even anything before the late Third Age. Morwen was a human born in Lossarnach and wed Thengel of Rohan. Their son grew to be King Theoden. Just to clarify.
