Thank you so much, Mark S., for dissing me and every other person who mourns the loss of Tom Bombadil. So what if Tolkien only put Tom in to entertain his daughter? That doesn't mean she was the only one entertained? I thought he was a charming character. A little strange perhaps, but charming nonetheless in his own way. And he does have a part in the books, small though it is. So thanks again for dissing me and others so rudely.
