When I saw the picture of Arwen with a cut on her face, wielding a SWORD, I had a real sick feeling in my stomach. This is like one of the worst perversions of Tolkien. I understand that in a movie, certain changes have to be made. However, in this case, it is like they are going out of their way to mess up the movie.   Personally, i always hated it when someones role in the book is given to another character, but in this case, if they had given the role of Glorfindel to anyone else (even Bilbo), it wouldn't have pissed me off as much as this did. Arwen is supposed to be one of the gentlest Elves in history, and certainly she would never hold a sword. Moreover, she was far too reasonable to disobey her father, and run out to look for her "sweetheart" when the Nazgul are roaming around. Such foolish behaviour would be understandable in Eowyn (who was not all reasonable and gentle until she met Faramir), but not Arwen.
