Where's Tom?

Tom Bombadil is a very important part of the story, do they plan to cut the barrow-wights, and the forest outside of Bree too? I'm considering boycotting the movie because of this obvious disregard for Tolkiens' books. If this is how well this  director sticks to the actual Tolkien dialogue and story form, then you can expect Gandalf to wear a gay robe without a belt, or the Nine Riders to have little Halloween costumes on. I was very excited about these movies when I heard they were coming out, but now I just wish that someone could just stick to the original scripting of the books.
