I hear a lot of talk about Arwen this and Tom Bombadil that, but everybody's missing the point... it's Peter Jackson's movie. He never guaranteed anybody anything about making a cinematic carbon copy of the book's every exact detail. So try to look at the big picture. Would you go see these movies if the book never existed? I know I would, the silver screen has arguably been starving for a good movie for many years now and Peter Jackson's the one to do it. Question: where are the Hobbits going to get their swords?
