What is this creature supposed to be? Some kind of "LotR goes Predator"? Or is it a cameo for George Bush (similarities;-)? Or could it be a prototype for a new race that Saruman "built"m, some kind of super-ork?

Whatever it is, I´m pretty sure it never was mentioned in the books. Did someone in the crew misunderstand the job of a "creative director"?

Man, Lurtz, this is among the most nutty things I´ve ever seen...

(Just to make things clear, I´m taking this from the funny side - I´d love to see this Golem-Thingy be blastet to pieces by Gandalf. Which, come to think of it, might just be the role it was intended to fulfill!
