OK, I just wanted to take the time to vent a little on the people who mock LotR fans. I know plenty of people who snicker whenever LotR is mentioned, and the article from Reel.com that was recently posted here was just as harsh if not worse. This is in no way aimed at this site; it is a great one. But I am just so sick of LotR fans being categorized as "geeks" and "losers."

If you remember, this site posted an article about MENSA voting LotR the best book of the 20th century. Call them "geeks" if you want, but they are the smartest people in the world. (I am not nor could I ever be a member).

So, to all you mockers out there, please, just because you don't have enough depth to understand or appreciate the books, don't take it out on us.
