In response to Ji-Soo W.'s concerns:

1) I have heard Peter Jackson say in at least two interviews that he is shooting for a PG-13 rating for these movies. That sounds reasonable enough to me to make it adult-ish without going overboard (an R rating).

2) I have also heard him say in interviews that he envisions the movies to be at least 2 hours long each, with FOTR being a little longer. Again, shooting for a total time of all three movies to be 7-8 hours. That also sounds pretty reasonable.

I hope this will allay your fears. There are enough being discussed here already on Arwen alone!
