Depiction of Hobbits in Movie Pics

I can not believe that the person who designed the way the Hobbits look in the movie pics that I have seen had ever read their descriptions in the books. The rest of the characters are also uninspited in varying degrees.

I know that making these movies was a great challange, but they at lease should have gotten the characters to look right. I am most disapointed. The sets and special effects look good from what I can see so far, but there was little or no imagination used in designing the characters.

Maybe someday in the future some one will do it correctly.
