More Bombadil
Louie V.

My money is still on Peter Jackson donning the yellow boots and the blue coat...

It surely seems like a sacrifice to cut ol' Tom, despite what all the folks say that don't seem to care for him. Much of the criticism I've heard was of the form, "It won't be possible to portray him in the time allowed", or something along those lines. My contention is that if Mr. Jackson can handle the rest of it, then why CAN'T he handle Bombadil also. But whether or not he shows up, unexpectedly or not, I'll continue to slow down when "In the House of Tom Bombadil".

And postscript: If he is so inconsequential, then why do we have a book titled "The Adventures of Tom Bombadil and Other Verses from the Red Book"? Hmmm? Let me tell you... it's because he IS important and it IS very unfortunate that he's not being included.

But like I said at the beginning; my money is still on Peter Jackson donning the yellow boots and the blue coat...
