Arwen and Goldberry

I have got to agree with almost everybody that expanding the role of Arwen in to some Xena type character is a big mistake. Throughout the first book she is only mentioned once and very briefly at that. In the book she is portrayed as an unattainable maiden while Eowyn is most definitely the real warrior maiden. On the subject of  women I think Goldberry of the Tom Bombadil scene was the ultimate unattainable maiden and I would have loved to have seen who played her.
