My Review
John R.

A wonderful, astonishing movie. The enhanced Arwen character did not bother me at all, and Liv Tyler did a fine job. So much for all my complaining.

Strong performances by all actors, but Sean Bean as Boromir nearly stole the movie. Arguably this movie is about Boromir's internal turmoil.

The only weakness is the ending, which is fairly true to the book, by which I mean you can't believe the movie (or book) ends there. It's a definite anti-climax to Moria.

My companion, who never read the book, was upset that the movie ended where it did (after 2 hours and 58 minutes). She was riveted to her seat - no snack bar or restroom trips - and is now desperate to see the next two movies.
