Biography
Born Goodmayes, England on September 12, 1931 to James Cuthbert
and Jean Holm. Brother, Eric, died from cancer in Egypt while serving as a member of the
Scots guard. Entered the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1950. His stage debut was as
Spear Carrier in Othello. Received his knighthood in 1998. |
