History: Pippin first became entangled in the Tale of the Ring when he agreed to venture with Frodo to Rivendell. When it was decided by Elrond that he would travel with the fellowship of the Ring his fate was sealed. When the company reached Emyn Muil, Pippin and Merry were kidnapped by Orcs. They escaped and met the Ent named Fangorn. They witnessed the Ent army destroy Isengard. After that battle the met up again with the fellowship. Then Pippin was separated from his friend Merry. He traveled to Gondor with Gandalf. There he became a loyal member of the Guard of Minas Tirith. He alongside the allies of Gondor in the last stand at the edge of the Mountains of Shadow. Pippin's body was almost crushed by the corpse of a troll he killed. He was rescued and honored in a ceremony with his three companions. After all wounds were healed and the War of the Ring ended, He returned with his three companions to the Shire. There they fended off the Men sent by Saruman. In his old age, he traveled with Merry to Gondor, and they spent their remaining years with King Elessar. It is said that when the King passed away he was set beside Pippin and Merry in Rath Dinen.

Billy Boyd

The part of Pippin will be played by Billy Boyd in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He will be appearing in The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King. His total screen time is not currently known.
