Wojciech Kilar to Compose LOTR Soundtrack

Received this today from Wawrzyniec Pawlowski. Wojciech Kilar, who has scored films like Apocalypse Now and Dracula, is in final negotiations for the job of composing the soundtrack for the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I have read yesterday in top Polish newspaper "Gazeta Wyborcza" that Wojciech Kilar (Apocalyse Now, Dracula) shall compose the music for LOTR. He's got already the script and the negotiation of the contract should be finished soon.

Interesting turn of events. Is Kilar the right choice for this film? Stop by the Forum and let the discussion ensue! If anyone in Poland can get a copy of this newspaper and translate the article we would appreciate it.
