Homeward Bound

The Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson and entourage assemble gear at Queenstown Airport yesterday for a flight to Wellington.

Jackson joins cast and crew returning to their homes for Christmas after filming finished in the resort on Thursday.

Pre-production work resumes in Wellington on January 3 and filming would start there again on January 17.

Filming is not scheduled to resume in Queenstown again until the middle of next year.
