This isn't very LOTR related but I thought it might interest you... Britain just released its passports for dogs, the first dog with one of those passport is named... you guessed it: FRODO BAGGINS!!! Usually all pets (dogs and cats) coming in the United Kingdom are placed under quarantine, but because this one has a passport it can go wherever it wants to. The passport is some sort of microchip planted under the skin somewhere. It will be released in 22 other western European countries very soon.
