Post Repoter
This week it's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. But next
year it could be Harry Potter versus the Hobbits.
American entertainment magazine Variety reports that the Warner Brothers fantasy film
Harry Potter, based on the bestselling children's books, will open on November 16, 2001.
The first of Peter Jackson's $360 million three The Lord Of The Rings films is due to be
released in December 2001.
The company funding Lord of the Rings, New Line, played down any talk of competition. New
Line executive David Tuckerman said his company was pleased that the two release dates
were a month apart, and said the films would be very different from each other. |
