Upcoming Trailers & Other News
Tim Masters

Leo from our message board is currently receiving some interesting news from an anonymous source. Read on for info on future trailer release dates and specifics about what we might expect to see in them:

I'm actually not sure if this is old news or not, but I've gotten word on the release schedule for the teasers and trailers of the future.

First up, in two months (May) we have the Cannes Film Festivel in France. Whatever the heck is going on here, it's gonna be HUGE. New Line is planning something REALLY, REALLY big. Word on the street is... get this... they're gonna show "The Fellowship of the Ring" to a very select audience of well-placed folks in the media (I have yet to received my invitation, I'm sure it's on the way).

Now, this is apparently only going to be done if Peter Jackson essentially has a good (though not final) cut all ready to go. I'm not sure how likely this is, but given that they've had many months to work on the post-production, it seems like a possibility.

Also, without a doubt a new teaser will air there.

In July will get or next teaser, probably a little bit longer then the clips we got in December. July doesn't seem TOO far off.

September Will see the release of the first FULL theatrical trailer. This baby will be nice and long! Probably around 4 minutes or so, so you'd better sign up for a cable modem NOW!

That's all the info I've gathered. Like I've said, I'm not sure if this is new or not (though I know the Fellowship screening is new). I'm really curious as to EXACTLY what's gonna happen in May at Cannes.

I hope what Leo says is true!
