'Lord of the Rings' to Take Over Cannes
Staff Reporter

Cannes is to be turned into Middle Earth during this year's film festival.

The event in May will show what's described as an appetiser for Lord Of The Rings.

The film's producers have rented a castle just outside Cannes.

They are planning to bring in parts of the film's set to recreate Middle Earth.

According to Danish newspaper BT, the film's director Peter Jackson and much of the cast will be at the festival to help promote the trilogy.

Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring is due to be released in the UK in December.
