Rings Discussed on Local Radio Talk Show
Matthew Bass

The local talk radio station in Raleigh, North Carolina (680 WPTF-AM) featured discussion regarding Lord of the Rings today at 5pm ET. Nothing new was divulged (nor did I expect anything new to come up), but they did discuss:

"The changing nature of the business in Hollywood" and how this relates to what Peter Jackson is doing in New Zealand.
How Rings probably won't make a good film because "translating a book to film is rarely successful."
How Star Wars has a story that's superior to Rings.

Yes, I did call in, but I wasn't able to pursuade them to change their views on this matter. They didn't seem to want to discuss the movies at all.

Apparently, the buzz (negative or otherwise) is getting bigger,.
