Official MPAA Rating for FOTR Released

I received this e-mail from a fellow Tolkien fan yesterday:

I don't know whether this is good news, bad news, old news, new news, boring news, exciting news, or purple polka-dotted news; but MPAA has posted FOTR Ratings on its website FWIW, here it is:

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001)
New Line Cinema
Rated PG-13 for epic battle sequences and some scary images.
 
I know PJ said it would be PG-13, but the MPAA puting its official stamp on it might be food for thought to the fans.
