Bakshi's Rings Available on VHS at Wal-Mart

We are receiving reports that Ralph Bakshi's animated Lord of the Rings is available on a newly-released VHS format at selected Wal-Mart stores.

This must be taking place in order to coincide with the future release of Bakshi's Rings on DVD. Keep in mind that these are fresh VHS copies (i.e. recently published), not the older copies that have been out of print for several years.

Call your local Wal-Mart and check to see if they have them, though, before you decide to stop by. Some Wal-Mart stores may not have them yet.

Update: Apparently, selected Wal-Mart stores have released this VHS copy over 2 weeks before it is scheduled to be released on September 11th. If your local store doesn't have a copy, you can pre-order a copy from Amazon.com for just $12.99 and they'll ship it to you as soon as it's released:
