Help Stop Warner's Pan
and Scan of Rings

Apparently, Warner Brothers is going to be releasing Bakshi's Lord of the Rings on VHS and DVD in September in pan-and-scan format, which is clearly unacceptable to the legacy of J.R.R. Tolkien and his works. The only format that would do credit to the film and the story is widescreen. Yes, it's true that even the DVD will be in pan-and-scan and now in standard widescreen.
The guys at TheOneRing.net have a petition going to stop this madness. Use the link below to sign it yourself. We've got to get as many signatures as possible before the September 11th release of these DVDs and videos.
