Re: Everett
Annatar

I know this is not a tolkien subject, however I would like to respond to Everett and his assertion that I in a previous post showed a lack of understanding of Scripture. He refered to the expulsion of the money changers from the Temple as proof of Jesus being violent. What I and many others see is Jesus berating the establishment. Such admonishment could hardly be seen as on the same par as Gandalf lopping of a few head, or conspiring and planing to have armies of men defeated. The expulsion of the money changers was an act of love to try and redeem a corrupt Temple (Appologies to any if I may have insulted your beliefs, in no way did I intend to do so. sorry). Everett deny if you can that Jesus's message was one of Love, compassion and self sacrifice. Do NO evil. Turn the other cheek. The one amoung you without sin cast the first stone. You in your post made out that such a stand against evil is weak and feeble... "A Namby-pamby, Pacifist Jesus". God is love. There is no greater force than love. Answer all things with love and evil will never ultimately prevail. You say I have little understanding of Scripture?!! I say you never understood even a minute part of the Lords message to man/woman-kind. Thank you all for indulging me. See you all later :)
