Hi Schlauz, I think did mispercieve your first article and I apologize. Now that I've read a little more after getting my books back from my friend (it's about time too!) I see that you are right, but it seems that we agree mostly on this. Gollum rushed to the spot where Frodo had been and grabbed hold of him. It didn't take him long to find Frodo. I was wrong in assuming that Gollum spent more than a few moments searching for Frodo. By my 'searching' comment I meant that Frodo may have moved a little bit just before Gollum found him, so naturally it would require even a small effort to find the invisible hobbit. My original post on this topic was only to point out that Gollum did not see Frodo while he wore the ring, or at least it was not hinted at in anything that I've read thus far. The person I was responding when I wrote that original post had assumed that Gollum actually saw Frodo when he put the One Ring on, and that didn't sound right to me. That's all...
