Re: Inaccuracies
Claude

I would like to reply to all those who have made comments on the liberties Mr Jackson has taken with Tolkien's plot lines. I think it is important to remember that his flim(s) are simply one man's interpretations of a master work which, considering ther plot's complexity, has been a very brave and worthy effort. The man was working against time, considering the running time of a feature film, and ommisions were inevitable. As for plot manipulation, such as Arwen, well I think introducing her earlier was a sensible choice, as it firmly identifies her character, and gives the viewer an insight into her relationship with Aragorn. At least it drags us out of the dark days of the earlier cartoon offering, which until the release of Fellowship of the Ring, was all we had visually.
