Queries of the Lady of Rohan
Swynwr

Hello, Lady of Rohan. I remember seeing an elf in The Last Alliance part of the prologue which reminded me a little of Legolas in appearance, but it could not have been him. That battle predates Legolas' birth by roughly a thousand years-and-a-bit, I think, since I remember reading somewhere that he was something like one- thousand, nine-hundred and blah blah years old at the time when the Fellowship was assembled, making him quite young compared to elves like Elrond and Galadriel, but long-lived nevertheless. I could be wrong on the exact number but I'm sure I'm not far off. Perhaps in this case you and I can envision the elf at The Last Alliance as Thranduil, father of Legolas? But that might not be correct according to Tolkien's mythology. Oh well, hope that quenches your curiosity in some way.
