Photo Shoot of Sauron
Annatar

Someone asked how do people imagine Sauron, after the fall of Numenor. (Quick look in mirror) Personally I never imagined him in armour, cept for the Last Alliance battle at Mt Doom. To me he was robed in black with a deep hood, subtle detailling in the material. A hint of mithril thread here and there. As for his visage I saw it as a skull with partical skin pulled tight over it, bone structure bare in places, nasal cavity showing, cat like eyes with an ever present "reflection" of flames in them. Something like that, it's just my imagination, no bases in Tolkien writings. However what is present in his writings is Sauron's height. (Annatar quickly gets a tape measure...) Sauron was/is over 7ft 11 inches. Apart from measuring myself, I mean Sauron (hur hur hur) it is told that Elendil was the tallest (or amoungst the tallest) of the race of Numenor, 2 1/2 ranga which works out at 7'11". What has Elendil's height got to do with Sauron's I hear you cry, well, it is written that when Sauron arrived in Numenor he was greater in stature than any even of the race of Numenor (extremely cool painting by Rodger Garland for the cover of The Lost Road). So while I can't give a specific height, Sauron is no shorter than 8ft. Anyone know if Tolkien specified how Orcs and trolls bred? In the film they used "pods" but I always figured they did it the old fashioned way, Mommy Orc and Daddy Orc, 2.3 Orcettes and a black horse in every driveway. I figure both Orc sexes look much the same and they both go to war together as well. Equal opportunities, equal pay, all inspired by the great one himself. I'm not too sure but is it written that both male AND female Dwarves have beards? When I sent that Nazgul up to the lonely mountain it wasn't only to look about the Ring but also to see if I could sell them some Immac. Make loads of money, corner the market in Dwarven beauty products. Anyway I'll see you all later :)
