Glamdring
Brett C.

Arina, I think that the scene always showed Gandalf hoding up Glamdring to ward off the Balrog's blade, it's just we couldn't see it clearly enough in the cinema version. When he surrender his sword at Edoras in the books he tells Hama that it's name is Glamdring, so presumably it is the same sword and will be so in the movies. Actually this site had a picture of Gandalf the White on the cover of a movie review mag and he was definitely holding the same sword, so there you go.
