Let's Debate!
Meriadoc

I have been noticing this whole thing about Tolkien and Christianity. Some people are saying we should just drop the subject. Why? Let's debate! come on! It is fun! The reason why one wants to stop a debate is because they get offended! Come on! Let's just listen to what one has to say and reply to it without getting offended about it!

So to the ones who say there is no christianity in Tolkien and that TOlkien didn't intend it I say they are right. Tolkien did not intend to have christianity! But! There is christian imagery! Whether tolkien meant it or not lord of the Rings was heavily influenced by Christianity. I think this should be considered a compliment! I mean it shows that Tolkien was such a good believer in God that without him intending it chirstianity flowed into his book! Gosh! It is a beautiful compliment!
