Legolas' Knives

When I first saw L.O.T.R. a small change.In the book Legolas had only one knife that was in his belt.Though in the movie he had two that were on his back.The reason ,I think, this change was made was to make moviegoers [who had not read L.O.T.R.]whant to see it again and again.All I mean is that this small change made L.O.T.R. alot more enjoyable.
