I agree with you Dave! Lord of the Rings is the best movie I've seen in a long time. Two Towers will be even better and then Return of the King will be even better! So it will just get much better after each movie. Hehe!
I agree that Tom Bombadil was a useless character. I often wonder why Tolkien thought up the whole adventure that the Hobbits went through before getting to Bree. I though it was quite funny and I loved their adventure, but it was very strange. If Tom Bombadil was in there, people who hadn't read the book wouldn't get his purpose. haha! Also, it wouldn't be right to add him in there, since the movie was already going to have cut scenes. It would be to long and people wouldn't have like it (although I still would ;)
Anyways, I also agree with you on the titles. The Two Towers was named a long while back before 9\11. This movie has nothing to do with 9\11 and the two towers in the movie are seperate and they belong to the evil side. Gosh! No one should be offended by the title at all. Now this is just a movie and people should not be taking it seriously at all. I find that people get offended about every little thing, alot! They need to chill! Hehe! Two Towers as nothing to do about 9\11 and never will because the title was named for another reason.
Well it was nice to hear your opinion about the movie. It was the best movie of 2001! I don't think that it should have lost to a Beautiful Mind! In my opinion, Beautiful Mind doesn't look like a very good movie at all so that it why I have never seen it. Okay, so I'm judging the movie before I've seen (although I have seen only a couple parts of the movie) but who should care? I bet everyone a million dollars that if I saw it, I would still want LOTR to win over it! I predict that I would win! Hehe!
