Re: People Disliking Fotr Movie
Isen

I understand why people hate the FotR movie, and I'm NOT trying to change your opinions. I just am kind of getting tired about how people are complaining about how things are changed. I myself am very disappointed that Tom Bombadil wasn't in the movie and that Merry and Pippen didn't have the whole conspiracy(sp?). But this kind of thing is expected when making such an amazing book into a movie. Think about it...Tolkien created a whole WORLD! That's a little hard to put into a movie with the complete history and EVERY single little detail.
My point is that with any book made into a movie or TV show is going to be different.I have a couple of examples. The book by Scott O'dell(sp?) The Island of the Blue Dolphins, was made into a movie. I watched it in shool a couple of years ago, so i don't remember everything that was different, but it was definitly not the same.Another example- when i was younger I was obsessed with the Animorph series (yes, I know, very cheesey)and when they made it into a TV series, i was devistated because it was nothing like the books.
Anyway, i think I have finished boring everyone to sleep with my babble so I'll talk to y'all later.
