Great Essays!

I was especially impressed with four (4) recent essays to The Forum and wanted to write and state so to the following people:

(1) First, to DEB on 10-10 regarding the upcoming Two Towers movie; your expressions from the heart were beautifully written and I don't anyone could of put it any better! I am 100% with you!

(2) To DANNY on 10-11 regarding The Eagles - great information and your opinions made a lot of sense - I read something awhile back on another site somewhere, we COULD see them at some point in one of the movies, but I am unsure about this. The Eagles were great warrior birds and in The Silmarillion they were sent to help only in critical times; I think the Eagle in the LOTR, who came to Gandalf's aid before Saruman did more harm to him, was magnificent and a surprise to the movie, the very first time in seeing it!!!

(3) To Fluidshaggy on 10-12 regarding Frodo ~
finally, someone found the self-sacrafice, unselfishness, devotion for the rest of the races and lands of Middle-Earth, and determination in this wonderful Hobbitt!!!

(4) and last, To LAURIE on 10-13 regarding The Stupid Ringwraiths!!!! Every time I see this scene, I wondered this myself!!! I laughed when I read your essay and it brings up a VERY VALID POINT!!! In the movie, Strider is watching from across the street, into another part of The Inn...so, the Power of the Ring wasn't reaching the Ringwraiths at that time, that is for sure!
Also, they didn't even check who was underneath those sheets!!! It could of been 4 other travellers who met their deaths for no reason!?!
Makes you wonder what PJ was thinking there...
or left it open "for an open discussion on a Forum"???
