I've been doing some catching up on the debate.

Christian Hobbit: Don't you think that rather than denounce followers of differing branches of Christianity, one might display a more Christ-like attitude and love them instead?

I consider myself a Christian, but I have plenty of LDS friends and I do not denounce them as followers of an evil cult. Instead, I've found that the best way to demonstrate what I consider a more pure form of Christianity is to show them my acceptance and love.

While I may differ with them on certain aspects of their religion, there is no doubt that they worship Jesus Christ as whole-heartedly as I do. I think that in some ways they are superior to me in their impressive faith and clean lifestyle.

To denounce them as evil, or even misguided, is to reject the acceptance of Christ and you blaspheme his name by calling yourself a Christian.
