Re: Stupid Ringwraiths?
Curious George

I have often wondered the same thing. The only sensible explanation is that PJ wanted to construct a scary scene, mainly for cinematic purposes. Even though the scene was quite predictable, it was still pretty cool, because when you first see it you're thinking: "I'm PRETTY sure that those will be pillows, and not hobbits..." It was just one of those tricks he used to establish a necessary fear of the film's true villain.

But the question remains... Why did they go into the bedroom when that isn't even where Frodo 'put' the ring on? He put it on down in the bar, not upstairs.

This brings up another interesting question. If the ringwraiths are so responsive to the power of the ring, how is PJ going to justify the scene when Sam wears the ring for quite a long while in ROTK, especially now that the wraiths are on winged steeds?
