The Two Towers

I believe that the towers which Tolkien refers to are Orthanc and Minas Morgul. Because those are the only two towers that actually appear in the book. Barad-Dur is only mentioned. Frodo, Sam and Gollum actually go to Minas Morgul. I also read once that Peter Jackson knew that these were the towers Tolkien referred to, but changed the second tower to Barad-Dur for the movie, because it would be less confusing for the public.
