On his advice on renting B-type horror movies after seeing the sagas (present and future) of the Fellowship, how can you possibly compare???
Why would anyone want to? I don't waste my movie or time watching gore. And when you state that it would be "simpler" for Peter Jackson in so far as cost, time, and production - yes, that is perhaps, very true! But "funner"? (no such word, by the way...in the English language) - Everyone, including Jackson, had a GREAT TIME making these movies! He even called the cast and crew back to New Zealand, for polishing up scenes, add-ins/re-shots. My comparison and opinion only, was that after making such incredible movies with great beauty, scenery, and a meaningful story-line behind them, it seems strange to me that Jackson would want to make a "low budget, horror film". I would also want to save my duckets for purchasing the future Extended Versions of the DVDs - both the Two Towers and the future Return of the King - instead of spending them on B-type horror movies!
