Frodo's Dream???

I have posted this question before, but never had anybody give a clear answer in the forum. Anybody have a clear explanation of what Frodo's dream is refering to when he dreams about the sea and the tower? I assume it is to his eventually sailing west to the blessed realm, but it has never been clear to me. I am trying to remember exactly when he has the dream. It is sometime before he is in Bombadil's house because that is when he dreams about Gandalf escaping from Orthanc. Anyway, if anyone has a clear reference or answer to what Frodo's dream of the sea and the tower refers to, I would love to hear it. It also seems very strange and isolated that he only has the dream once so early in the story and then it is entirely forgotten about.
