Response to Galadriel's Bowl
Rune of Mirkwood

I found this new question intriguing! In the movie, it makes you wonder how and why Peter Jackson decided to choose two faces and only two faces - Legolas first, and then, Sam...why not Boromir, Merry, and Pippin? Is there some reasoning or significance behind only seeing these two of the Fellowship turn around and look at Frodo? The overtaking and ruin of The Shire is sad, to see Sam and other Hobbits chained and whipped by Orcs...and I thought the images that Jackson projected and shot through this water scene were so very well done, as is the entire movie! But at first, I didn't like Galadriel's attitude or tone..she seemed sarcastic and/or a little arrogant, in a way, when Frodo first came down to the Water Mirror -- although a great and powerful Lady of the Wood. She seemed to soften herself in both attitude and demeanor at the very end with Frodo, for which I was glad. In the book, she appeared to have been a little more warmer and kinder. She is still a great character and I still admire what she as a Queen and Leader of her Elf-People have done and did, for the Fellowship. Just my thoughts.
