Entwives and Dumb Ringwraiths

Hello everyone:

I have been following your conversations about entwives, and have a thought. Does anyone else remember the conversation in the Green Dragon at the beginning of The Fellowship when, I believe Sam, is talking to Ted Sandyman about someone seeing a tree walking in the hills? I always thought that that was a hint that those walking trees might indeed be the entwives.

Also, I can find no clear proof in the book at Bree that the intruders in the hobbit's room were anything but Ringwraiths.

Would anyone like to comment?
