Arwen, and Bombadil
Linda

I thought that Arwen was over played in the movie. She is barely mentioned though out the Trilogy so most everything they are showing is made up. Also they showed Arwen appearing to Frodo in his fadding. Only elves that had once dwelt in Valinor were able to live in both worlds. Arwen was a child of the third age and had never been across the sea to the undying lands, she should not have appeared as a glowing figure to Frodo. I didn't miss Bombadil much, to me he had no connection with the final outcome of the story. Even Elrond did not know much about Bombadil. I was more dissapointed in the fact that they totally ignored Aragorn and the sword that was borken. It was such a vital part of his heritage and him coming into his own as the heir of Isildur. I thought they should have re-forged the sword, it was a very symbolic part of the book.
