Response to Rune: Galadriel's Bowl
Simply Me

In my opinion, I think Galadriel (in her movie sense) is portrayed very well. In the book she is more kind and likable, and Gimli is often making references to her, and challenging anyone who believes that she is 'evil'.

A quick thought: In the book, Sam goes with Frodo, and it is Sam who sees the images of the Shire and the fellowship. Frodo (if I remember right) chooses NOT to look in the mirror. Indeed, the movie cut out many times when Sam was with Frodo, and in the book they are far closer. (The ending of the movie brings out that closeness, but the book portrays it throughout.)
