In regard to Strider4632's question about Shelob's appearance in the upcoming movies, I heard that she definitely WOULD NOT be in The Two Towers. However, I believe I read somewhere that she would be in the beginning of ROTK. This seems rather strange to me- the original ending of TTT was the perfect cliffhanger for the next movie. I can't understand why they would change it at all, considering the fact that they were fairly consistent with the first movie. Anyways, it would be a pity if Shelob didn't put in an appearance- I consider her one of the scariest creatures in the books (second only to the Barrow-Wight!).
