What Will Be in the Two Towers
Curious George

Strider4632, in an interview with Peter Jackson last April, he stated that there will definately be some changes in the next two movies. He didn't comment on what happens to Saruman, but he did say that Shelob's Lair won't happen until ROTK. He also stated that the relationship between the Hobbits and Gollum has been 'beefed up,' and something to the effect that it's going to be a lot scarier than it was in the books. Also the Scouring of the Shire won't happen.

To the dissapointed fans regarding Shelob PJ said not to worry, and that "You won't be dissapointed."

In the spoiler reports that I've read thus far it has stated that the battle of Helm's Deep will be 53 minutes - possibly longer, and that the total running time of the film is approximately 3 hours 16 minutes. We catch a glimpse of Oliphaunts and Treebeard in the trailers, so we know they are in there, but in a presentation given by some representatives from New Line Cinema last summer, someone directly asked whether Saruman gets "the spike," to which he replied "No comment."
