November 20, 2002 In Response to Lughaidh It's "Flame of Anor," not "Flame of Arnor," to which Gandalf refers, possibly a reference to the power of Narya or the Flame Imperishable. Either are likely, considering that power which Gandalf had through the ring (notice that it was only when Gandalf was caught off guard was the Balrog able to pull him into the chasm) and the power which was granted him as a Maia. |
