Frodo and the Mirror
Brett C.

Frodo does indeed look into the Mirror, the last image he sees being the the Lidless Eye, as shown in the movie. [By the way, I loved the whisps of steam left behind on the water when he topples back from the flaming vision - it's the little things like that, taken from the text, that mke it such a good watch.]

Before the coming fo the eye Frodo has several visions; their nature is somewaht ambiguous, but I believe they include a view of the fall of Numenor and the coming of Eledil and his sons out of the West born on the mountainous waves of the Downfall, Aragorn's arrival at the the Harlond and the raising of the banner of Arwen on the Pelenor Fields, and Gandalf making his way back from the Twilight land of Valinor, after his fight with [yes, he's everywhere, you just can't get away from him] the Balrog.
