Shelob's Mother?
Lem

Was it Shelob's mother who, in the Silmarillion helped Melkor to maul the trees in Arda and/or get a Silmaril (sorry, I don't have the book at hand and don't remember too well =()? She was the one who tried to squeeze Melkor to death, but his scream alerted his minions and they came to his rescue. Or so I think.
